Start from Bangkok before dawn to meet your naturalist leader at the park and start for a nature walk for the rest of the day through the lush evergreen forest that dominates the central regions of Khao Yai national park. Porters are on-hand to carry food and other essentials, and a cook prepares a traditional Thai lunch for you in the forest. Having freshened up after your walk, you will visit the offices of the the Khao Yai Poached Sandalwood Tree in Khao Yai National Park, ThailandConservation Project, a long-term programme that brings together wildlife monitoring, anti-poaching training and rural development projects in an attempt to conserve the park's diverse wildlife. Here you will meet the project staff who will introduce you to conservation activities and answer your questions. Comfortable accommodation in the heart of the park.

An early morning walk takes you to a wildlife watchtower to look-out for birds such as the great hornbill, and to witness dawn activities at a nearby mineral lick. From the watchtower, set out on a full day nature trek with your naturalist leader. Again, porters will be carrying essentials for breakfast and Gibbon in Khao Yai National Park, Thailandanother delicious lunch in the forest. After finishing the walk and having dinner, a night drive through the forest on the look out for elephants, deer, civets, porcupine and other wildlife. Whilst on the drive you will learn about elephant research in the park. Overnight comfortably in the heart of the park.
 
   
The Summits of Khao Yai National Park, ThailandDay 3
Khao Yai National Park - Bangkok

A morning nature trek that focuses on the two species of gibbons that inhabit the park. You will set off early in an attempt to view these amazing forest acrobats at close range. After lunch on the trail, exit the forest around mid-afternoon and transfer back  to Bangkok.

This tour is operated on a private basis (no other participants, than those, you have chosen) with English-speaking guide (other languages might be available on request) and includes land transportation by air-conditioned minibus, excursions and entrance fees as mentioned in the above itinerary, accommodation in simple bungalows with private toilet/bathroom, locally prepared full board, field equipment, first-aid equipment, leach socks, rain ponchos, backpacks.

 
   

Not included are all drinks and meals not mentioned in the above itinerary, tips for drivers and guides and your personal expenses.

 
   

For all tours we recommend to bring with you a torch, mosquito repellent, sun lotion, strong shoes, swim suit and a second set of clothes. From May to October a rain coat.
