South Orchid was founded in 2003 to promote tourism off the beaten track in Southern Thailand. We want to share with you our love of Thailand and its landscape, and give you an appreciation of Thai people, their culture and way of life.
We specialise in private tour arrangements of 2 to 7 days for individual travellers and small groups, tailor-made to the request of the customer. They are accompanied by experienced English-speaking guides and introduce visitors to the culture and landscapes of the South as well as to the unique nature and wildlife of the numerous national parks.
All our programmes are limited to 8 persons per tour, individually programmed. Thus we avoid stressing the fragile landscapes we visit.         Some tours may not run from May to October due to weather conditions. Boats do not run during monsoon season, the level of rivers and lakes is too high and the ground too soft. This time needs to be reserved for nature to reclaim any tracks that we have made during the dry season, soft or green tourism leaves its traces even.         All tour itineraries are based on the situation at the time of loading this home page. We reserve the right to modify or reverse routes, timetables and hotel accommodations before or/and during the tour depending on weather, road and/or local conditions.

South Orchid is no member of any "eco" tour association and does not use these 3 letters to describe their tour programme. Anyhow, we do our best to follow the guidelines, that have been set up from internationally renowned scientists regarding "eco tourism".
